Busy with terrible decisions and pleasant company

A friend just called, concerned that I'd not updated the blog today. Another thing to add to the huge heap of care we're getting.

Today my family has arrived from the UK so we have been busy on that front. Other lovely and most welcome visitors have dropped by and numerous other things have been going on.

But every day we have to make terrible decisions, things that you never want to think about in your life. And Marion, who draws a lot of comfort from the fact that she can still see and touch Kay, is increasingly facing the realisation that that will end on Saturday.

So things continue to get harder and harder.

  1. I'm so glad that so many people are able to be with you just now and that they are a source of some comfort.
Please pass my love to Marion. I cannot imaging the pain that you both face.
    Thinking about you today.
    Much love

These are things no parent should go through. We think of you and your family.

  4. Robert,

Dominic and I took a long drive today, to a very lovely Buddhist Temple that we know. It's a place we've found peace at before, a very special place. We knelt together and said a prayer for you all. We lit a special candle for Kay, which was placed inside a purple glass flower and placed at the alter where it will continue to burn, in absolute peace and serenity.

We took a walk up the hillside in the grounds of the monastery, to a place where there is a giant prayer bell. You are to strike the bell, which echos across the valley to send your love to your family. So we did just that... all our love... echoing across the world.

We will be with you in spirit all day tomorrow. Sending you and Marion strength to bear what must be done.

    With Love,

    Alison & Dominic
